Delta Sonics To Close Northglenn’s Summer Concert Series

For the past twenty years, the Delta Sonics have brought the R&B beat of New Orleans, the Chicago Blues and the West Coast Swing to Rocky Mountain residents; establishing themselves as one of the finest blues act in the area.

The Delta Sonics will close the Northglenn Summer Concert Series on Aug. 1

They were named as such by the Westword Magazine Music Showcase, won the Colorado Blues Society International Blues Challenge, and were semi-finalists in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis earlier this year.

The Delta Sonics have opened for the Fabulous Thunderbirds, played behind Bo Diddley and will close the city of Northglenn’s Back to the Bayou Summer Concert Series on Wednesday, August 1.

From your home at Thistle Sage, you can walk past the Washington Point Shopping Center on 120th Avenue to Grant Street and E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park for the show.

It’s a show that features Al Chesis on the harmonica, one of the only players featured at the SPAH Convention and Mark Hummel’s Harmonica Blowout.

Be ready for an outside show starting at 6:30 p.m., but inclement weather will move the music across the street to D.L. Parsons Theatre and the start time to 7 p.m.
